Absolute Compliance as NBA Benin Branch Boycotts Courts in Protest against the Kidnap of Justice Nwosu-Iheme, JCA

It was a symmetry of purpose and a syncronization of action as all Members of the Nigerian Bar Association Benin Branch, boycotted all Courts within the Branch’s Jurisdiction as directed by an Emergency Meeting of the Branch and affirmed by a Monthly General Meeting both presided over by the charismatic and ebullient Lion Bar Chairman -Prince Collins Benson Ogiegbaen, A.I.C.M.C.

The Boycott of Courts within the Branch ‘s Jurisdiction occured from Wednesday the 6th of November,2019 till Friday he 8th of November,2019

The Compliance Committee of the Branch Court Boycott led by Douglas Ogbankwa Esq. and comprising Mathew Edeghese Esq., Jude Imagbeghian Esq., Kingsley Imebokhai Esq, closing supervised all through the Compliance Period by the Secretary of the Lion Bar Pius Oiwoh Esq and staunchly supported by the immediate past Chairman of the Ikeja Branch of the NBA -The Tiger Branch , Mr. Adeshina Ogulana who was not only present in the first two days of the Court Boycott but went round the Courts with Members of the Compliance Committee to ensure enforcement of the boycott.

The Assistant National Publicity Secretary of the NBA Habeeb Lawal was present at the NBA Benin Bar House together with Adeshina Ogulana Esq.at the World Press Conference kick-starting the Court Boycott.

The Boycott received rave reviews from local and National Print and Electronic Media as it was one of the most trending issues in the mainstream and social media in Nigeria within the period.

The Benin Bar all through the Boycott used media sessions to deprecate the level of insecurity in Edo State,the Country at large and to call for the unconditionally release of the Hon Justice Chioma Nwosu Iheme,who was dastardly kidnapped by daredevil kidnappers on Wednesday the 30th of October ,2019 ,along Benin Agbor Road,Benin City.
