Call for Article Submissions by Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University Department of Islamic Law

The Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto intends to publish a book titled “Legal Paradigm in Nigeria: A New Direction in the Study of Law and Practice”, In honour of a veteran judicial officer. In view of this, the Department is calling for well researched articles in the following areas of Law:

  1. Constitutional and Administrative Law
  2. Criminal Law and Criminology
  3. Corporate Law and Finance
  4. Evidence and Procedure
  5. Family Law and Matrimonial Causes
  6. Socio-Economic, Political and Historical Aspects of Law
  7. Law and ICT
  8. Islamic Law Islamic Studies
  9. Law and Administration of Justice;Commercial/Business Law

  1. Constitutional and Administrative Law

  4. Evidence and Procedure
  5. Family Law and Matrimonial Causes

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

i.The articles must be well researched, original and must not have been previously submitted for publication elsewhere.

ii. Submissions should not exceed twenty five (25) pages of A4 size paper, typed in MS Word1.5 spacing in Times New Roman font size 12 with automatic footnotes in font size 10, Endnotes and in-text citations are not acceptable.

iii. Submissions should carry the title of the article followed by a single-spaced abstract of not more than two hundred (200) words with a maximum of six (B) keywords placed immediately at the bottom of the abstract

iv. Submissions must be in United Kingdom (UK) English spelling except in quoted words and expressions, while all non-English words and as must be in italics.

v. The names, titles, degrees and other academic qualifications, e-mail addresses, postal addresses and telephone numbers of the contributors should be provided on the cover page of the article.

vi. The approved style guide for submissions is the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).

vii. Contributors shall receive notification of receipt of their submissions via e-mail/SMS.

viii. All submissions are to be made electronically to: misaidesq@@yahoo.com and kaybeedlaw@gmail.com not later than Thursday, 31st March, 2022.

NB: a token would be given for each accepted article/submission
