Charles Uwensuyi-Edosomwan, SAN Receives the AFBA Medal of Merit in Leadership

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Charles Uwensuyi-Edosomwan (SAN), has been decorated with the Medal of Merit in Leadership by the African Bar Association (AFBA).

Chief Uwensuyi-Edosomwan, SAN, a former Edo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, received the award during the opening ceremony of the 2022 annual conference of the AFBA which was held on 8th-10th August 2022, in Lilongwe, Republic of Malawi.

“In testimony of your inestimable contribution to the Growth of the African Bar Association as a Member of the Governing Committee and the development of the legal profession in Africa,” the words on the plaque reads.

Chief Uwensuyi-Edosomwan has been recognised for achievements that have an extraordinary influence upon the advancement of law and the legal profession.

The AFBA President, Hannibal Uwaifo also described the award recipients as Africa’s good ambassadors and thanked them for their efforts in promoting peace, rule of law and democracy on the continent.
