Death of Two Learned Magistrates of the Anambra State Judiciary: Chairman YLF Anaocha Branch Calls on the Chief Judge to introduce Health Unit in every Judicial, Magisterial District

The Chairman of Young Lawyers Forum, NBA–YLF Anaocha Branch, Abuchi Goshen Ogbachalu, has called on the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Hon. Justice Onoche Anyachebelu, to introduce Health Units in every Judicial Division and Magisterial District to help prevent sudden and unnatural death of judges, magistrates, lawyers and litigants.

Ogbachalu made this statement on Tuesday at High Court premises Onitsha Judicial Division, Anambra State, following the news of the demise of another presiding Magistrate in the State Judiciary. He argued that the death of His worship G.H.C Nwabachili Esq., yesterday could have been averted if an health facility was situate at Chief Magistrate Court, Ogidi and
there exist Court Clerks with the requisite knowledge of CPR thus further advised the Chief Judge to liaise with the State Judicial Service Commission on the possibility of sending Clerk of Courts to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course or training so as to manage emergencies, including a heart attacks.

Ogbachalu also appealed to all Branch Chairmen in the State to ensure that Magistrates’ Courts without functional Ceiling fans and any trace of electricity are upgraded.
