The LASU Law Journal invites and welcomes submissions of manuscripts on a variety of current legal topics for consideration towards publication.
The LASU Law Journal is the journal of the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University, Ojo. The Journal is usually published once a year but when necessary may have a second issue. The Journal receives only submissions written in English.
Submissions must not have been published, submitted for publication or accepted elsewhere. Articles are subjected to a peer review process.
The final decision on each submitted article is taken by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal. The LASU Law Journal reserves the right to edit articles as deemed appropriate. Notification of acceptance, non-acceptance or need for revision will be given within 4 weeks of receipt of the manuscript. The Journal receives manuscripts throughout the year and each manuscript is automatically considered, if it is successful at the peer review process, for publication in either Issue 1 or Issue 2 of each volume.
For Issue 2, Articles must be submitted on or before 10th December 2019.
Manuscripts should be prepared in electronic format and sent by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
Articles should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words.
When submitting manuscripts, authors should adhere to the following:
(i) Contributions should be word processed, double spaced and with a left hand margin of at least 1½ inches, in Times New Roman font size 12;
(ii) Author’s name (and those of any co-authors) and address(es) (including an e-mail address) should appear on a separate page. The title of the article should also appear on this page with contact phone numbers.
(iii) All contributions should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words.
(iv) Footnotes should appear on the same page as the relevant text, and be indicated by Arabic numerals in Times New Roman font size 11.
(v) All spellings should be in British English.
