Law School Fees: Student Appeals to Niger State Government to Implement the New Bursary Scheme to Indigenes

Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has been commended for his people-friendly administration policies

The former National Public Relations Officer of the Law Students Association of Nigeria, LAWSAN, Comrade Salis M Sabo has appealed to the executive Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, to implement the new bursary to law students from the state to enable them fund their bills at the Nigerian Law School.

Comrade Salis M Sabo who is the coordinator of the movement and also an indigene of the state and a law graduate made the appeal in a meeting held at Justice Fati Lami Abubakar Institute for Legal Studies Minna with prospective Law School candidates in the State on Saturday 12th January 2020.

He said ” we appeal to Niger State Government to pay the new five hundred thousand naira bursary the Governor pledged for the Law School Applicants beforehand. Though it has been the tradition of the State to pay this money after registration and also incomplete, we appeal to the State Government to be more proactive in making the payment as many law school candidates opt for loans to funds their law school

“We wish to also thank his Excellency for the increment of the bursary and wish him the needed strength to implement it.”

    I also urge other state governors on the timely payment of bursary for law students and students in other fields of knowledge.
