NBA Badagry Branch Kick Starts her 2022 Annual Law Week with Mass at Anglican Church, Badagry

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Badagry Branch will begin its 2022 Law Week with a Mass at the Anglican Church, Badagry on Sunday.

According to the Chairman of the Branch Muhammed A. Sodipo, the theme of this year’s Law Week is “Lawlessness and the Quest for Nationhood, whither Nigeria?”

The Chairman said that the situation in Nigeria presently is characterized by acts of lawlessness from the executive, judiciary, legislature and the citizens which has made crime rate to skyrocket, ranging from terrorism, banditry, extra judicial killing, disobedience to rule of law, inducement to commission of crime rather than prevention of crime by law enforcement agencies and various acts of impunity.

‘All these acts threaten our nationhood building and if not checked, will affect our corporate existence as an indivisible country.” Mr. Sodipo stressed.

The NBA Badagry Branch Law Week will present an opportunity for indepth discussions on contemporary issues in furtherance of the advancement of the legal profession, the NBA, while making a tremendous impact on the nation as a whole.

Consequently, the Chairman enjoined all members of the Branch to make the most of this opportunity and take the time to connect, collaborate, and communicate with fellow attendees and share great ideas.
