The Lekki Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association, body of lawyers domiciled and practising within Ikoyi-Victoria Island-Lekki-Ajah-Ibeju Lekki areas in Eti-Osa and Ibeju-Lekki Government Areas of Lagos State has expressed profound gratitude to the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Honourable Justice Kazeem Alogba for inspecting the level of completion ongoing at the High /Magistrate Courts’ Building at Addo Road, Ajah, Lekki, Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos State.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued by Oladotun Hassan Esq. and Ayodele Ademiluyi Esq , Chairman and Secretary respectively of the NBA Lekki Forum.
The justice temple is expected to serve lawyers, litigants and other court users within and not limited thereto Ibeju-Lekki/Eti-Osa Local Government Areas respectively. The Lekki Forum is grateful to His Lordship for braving the tumultuous traffic on the Eti-Osa/Lekki-Epe Expressway to see things for himself at the site of the High/Magistrates’ Court Building.
The Lekki Forum also appreciates His Lordship for fulfilling his promise made during the Courtesy visit of the Lekki Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association to his office on the 8th day of August, 2019 wherein he assured that the High/Magistrates Court Building would undergo final completion before the end of the year.
The Lekki Forum can authoritatively report that the High/ Magistrates Court Building is now in its final stage of completion as truckloads of paved stones are on site for the pedestrian walkways while other fittings and furniture have been installed.
The Forum hereby appeals to the Attorney General of Lagos State, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo to put processes in motion for the acquisition of the adjoining landed properties to the High/ Magistrate Court Building in public interest for the purpose of constructing a spacious Car Park for litigants and lawyers , when the High/Magistrates Court Building comes into operation.
The Lekki Forum is further encouraged by the noble efforts of he Chief Judge of Lagos State that the good people of Eti-Osa and Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Areas will now have easy accessibility to administration of justice in the coming days ahead.
