Presidential Candidates’ Session Excites Interest as NBA 2022 Annual General Conference Nears

There is heightened interest among lawyers and other prospective participants in the 2022 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) amid the news that the key contenders in the country’s forthcoming 2023 presidential election will speak at a session at the conference.

In what is clearly a first in the history of the NBA, the Association has invited the presidential candidates of the major political parties to speak on “Democratic Transitions in 21st Century Nigeria: 2023 and Beyond”. The session, which comes after the conference opening ceremony, will afford participants a rare opportunity to interact with four presidential candidates – Bola Ahmed Tinubu (APC), Peter Obi (Labour Party), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (NNPP) – just six months ahead of the election.
