Hon. Justice A. O. Omamogho, a teacher and a fine gentleman. Like Hector of Troy, you defended your ground all through service, never have we heard that you have been cornered.
The Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigeria Bar Association, Sapele Branch says congratulations to you Hon. Justice A. O. Omamogho on your retirement from service.
No more targets, no more goals, no more waking up early and no more meetings. All there’s left to do now is to unfurl all the happiness that life has in store. Retirement is your chance to be true to your own self. It is an opportunity to pick up forgotten hobbies and nurture the little kid within you. After all, it’s never too late to start living the life that you have always wanted to.
Retirement is the only time when you can have a life without having a job. No facades, fake smiles or charades – retirement is all about being who you are without a worry in the world.
In the words of Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, we thank the inscrutable great Geometrician of the universe for allowing us (YLF) to be part of your tutelage. We have become grandchildren, great grandchildren and great – great – grandchildren as we have served under your juniors (Lawyers who served under your). We would learn and make impact else our learning becomes a mere vacuous sciamachy.
We cannot forget the chronicles of court while you were sitting. The hints, jokes, fatherly role and advice are too many to be forgotten.
We shall encourage ourselves, and brace up to responsibility in order for we to attain the standard you have set for us.
To You Hon. Justice A. O. Omamogho, we will miss you.
It is time for you to take instruction from you alone.
Oke Odinde, Esq.
