Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikorodu Branch has expressed grave concern over the alarm raised by a member of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa SAN alleging threat to his life.
Mr Akinlade, who is also the Lagos State Sub-region Coordinator of the Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria said “I have just read the troubling allegations made by Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa SAN and I am very disturbed by it.
“I urge the Police to take immediate action by providing some protection for Mr. Adegboruwa SAN and the government to act responsibly in accommodating people’s opinions.
Akinlade reiterated that “We no longer live in a military era, people in government should have the heart of a servant and not behave like masters.
I also urge our members in the Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON) to pray for our brother for safety and protection from all who plan evil against him. Thank you,” he restated.
