A young lady called to the bar in 2005. Chinyere Obasi is one that reflects hard work, perseverance and diligence and with a good sense of social responsibility.
Chinyere Obasi was born into the family of late Nicholas Obasi from Mbaise in Ezinihitte Local Government Area in Imo State of Nigeria, She started her educational pursuit, charting a course for herself in the legal profession at St Georges Primary School, Falomo Ikoyi Lagos State.
She proceeded to Igbobi Girl’s Secondary School Yaba Lagos between 1991 to 1996 where she obtained her West African School Certificate in1996.
Chinyere Obasi obtained she obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree [LLB] from the University of Ilorin in 2003.
Chinyere Obasi obtained her [B.L] Barrister at Law certificate in 2005 from the Nigerian Law School and was called to Bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in November 2005.
Obasi a mentee of Adewale Sunday Adesokan SAN, of Wale Adesokan & Co— began her law practice in 2006 with J. O Awolade & Co. a firm located at Jibowu, Lagos State.
Thereafter, she joined Lekan Soda of Lekan Soda & Co a firm located at Apongbon Lagos and later was employed by Wale Adesokan SAN in 2008— where she got her firm grip of the law practice under the tutelage of Wale Adesokan SAN.
Chinyere Obasi as a young counsel, was exposed to the best of litigation, practice and procedure in diverse aspect Nigerian law.
She has in legal teams led by Wale Adesokan at the Court of Appeal, Federal High court and High Court of Justice
in some high profile cases in bank related and land matters, Family and probate matters, chieftaincy matters etc.
Chinyere Obasi was empowered to handle cases on her own wherein she became bold and her confidence was built over time in legal practice.
There has been no looking back in her quest of practice of law in Nigeria.
Recognising her passion and her desire to learn, Wale Adesokan SAN gave her additional responsibilities by putting her in charge of a department. This further exposed her to different facets of law practice as it relates to Property management, matrimonial and dispute related matters.
Chinyere Obasi worked with Wale Adesokan SAN until 2010 that she establish the law firm of Covenant Solicitors & Attorneys with its first office at 148 Tokunbo Street, Lagos island Lagos state, she has since moved to Simpson street in Lagos island Lagos state.
Chinyere Obasi is a strong believer of quality mentorship, which made her open her door to young lawyers who are ready to learn and has made the growing law firm a veritable platform for rewarding pupilage.
At present the young law firm is 7 years old running with two support staff and a young lawyer.
Chinyere Obasi is a litigation lawyer par excellence with a clientele base from different walks of life.
She has concluded many contentious civil and criminal litigations, cutting across diverse areas, including land matters, company formations, family and probate matters [such as adoption, Guardianship,Maintenance and custody], property related matters and matrimonial matters etc at the federal high court,National Industrial Court and high court .
In furtherance of her strong belief in making justice accessible, she consistently offers her experience and expertise to indigent members of the society by handling pro bono matters to the society under the Legal Aid platform.
In expanding her legal practice, chinyere Obasi has partnerned with some law firms such as KK Suliamon & Co and J H Bashiru & Co.

Chinyere Obasi is a lover of music and loves to dance.
A sociable lady and fun to be with, Chinyere has used her social nature to lift the face of NBA Lagos Branch and to serve the branch whenever she is called upon.
Whenever there is any social event or any social gathering, she lights it up.
This was evidenced at the Lagos white party organised in Portharcourt during the NBA Annual General Conference in 2017 as Social Secretary NBA Lagos Branch Which attracted participation among the various NBA branches.
