
The Chief Judge of Borno State, Hon. Justice Kashim Zannah has attended the three years anniversary of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime – Global Judicial Integrity Network, UNODC-GJIN.
GJIN since its launch on 9th April 2018, the Network has achieved many accomplishments in three years of its existence and has become a global movement ‘of judges, for judges’ and a trusted space on the topic of judicial integrity. To date, the Network has organized numerous events, created innovative opportunities for experience-sharing and developed highly relevant guidance materials.
The Global Programme provides support and technical assistance to Member States across the world in areas of judicial integrity, prisoners’ rehabilitation, youth crime prevention, and education for justice, all with the objective of promoting a culture of lawfulness and boosting respect for the rule of law.
Moreover, by serving as a global hub on judicial integrity, the Network has been supporting and connecting other relevant initiatives and therefore amplifying their positive impact.
The event was held via Microsoft Team Virtualconferencing which featured high-level Network participants and special guests who shared their experiences with the Network activities, followed by a Q&A session.
