Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, MFR, SAN, has called for an end to racism and all forms of xenophobic attitude, and the enthronement of Peace in all Nations.

Chief Gadzama, who is the President of Vox Populi Foundation, said in a message to commemorate World Peace Day, that Racism is cancerous and has negatively affected many nations and people.

Chief Gadzama said that the racist system structures opportunities and assigns value based on the social interpretation of a person’s race. This system, he said, puts certain groups of individuals and communities in unfair and disadvantagous positions, and depletes the strength of the whole society through the waste of human resources.

Chief Gadzama called for support for the laudable efforts and intiatives of the United Nations towards the fight against racial discrimination.

The learned Senior Advocate of Nigeria said the Vox Populi organization would join with other national and international organizations to press the urgent need for a world where humanitarianism, compassion, love and empathy thrive, not suspicion, racism or discrimination on any primordial consideration.

Chief Gadzama opined that Peace would be attained when there is socio-economic justice in a society where fairness, equity and equal justice for all, are priority values.
