Senior Partner at Templars and immediate former Chairman of the NBA Section on Business Law has expressed sadness at the death of Chief Nnabuike James Edechime and extended condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
In a statement issued last night, Olumide Akpata said “A great lawyer has transitioned into glory and in his prime too. Although, we would have wanted him to live for more years on this side of eternity, we can be consoled by the fact that Chief Nnabuike James Edechime is in a better place now, and will continue to rest in peace until we meet to part no more.”
He also recounted Chief Edechime’s numerous achievements and expressed confidence that they will not be forgotten. He said “Chief Edechime was a great mentor to many legal practitioners and contributed immensely to the legal profession in so many ways. He also played a critical role in promoting brotherhood and unity through his efforts and leadership at Otu Oka Iwu. I know that his good works will forever be remembered.
I express my deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues and pray that the Almighty God will give all of us the fortitude to bear this loss.
With sincere sympathy,
Olumide Akpata
