As a coronavirus relief response, Kaduna based lawyer, Mohammed Sani Katu, in conjunction with Mamman Mamman Nasir & Co chambers has donated bags of rice to the Young Lawyers Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association Kaduna Branch.
Mr. Katu also extended the good gesture to the Judiciary Staff of Kaduna State High Court. He explained that the philanthropic moves were intended to help the hardest hit from the growing global health crisis by alleviating food insecurity as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
A slowdown in the economy due to the pandemic has exacerbate existing food insecurity. It limits people’s ability to access food in different ways, including through reduced income or increased job insecurity.
The social distancing measures imposed by the government limiting access to markets and supply disruptions have resulted in less food.
Accordingly, Kuta’s relief package is a much needed help at a time when people need it most and will make a huge difference on beneficiaries.
