Counsel Expresses Appreciation to CAC over Extension of Accreditation Window

Abuja based lawyer, Hameed Ajibola Jimoh has extended his appreciation to the Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC, Abubakar Garba for accepting his request to elongate the deadline for its prescribed accreditation/revalidation exercise

The letter to the Commission boss expressing his gratitude reads:

22nd June, 2021.

The Registrar General,

Corporate Affairs Commission,

Headquarters,

Abuja.

Dear Sir,

RE: APPEAL FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR VERIFICATION OF STATUS OF ACCREDITED AGENTS OF THE COMMISSION WHO ARE LAWYERS

MORE THAN A MILLION THANKS

  1. The above subject matter refers, please.
  1. I hereby wish to appreciate the Commission greatly, happily and joyously for its timely consideration and grant of my appeal made to the Commission dated the 14th day of June, 2021 but submitted to the Commission on the 16th day of June, 2021, in the above referenced heading.
  1. The quick consideration and grant of my appeal made to the Commission has once more proved to me that the Commission shares the plights of its vulnerable accredited agents and customers and has thereby proved its standard corporate practices before us as lawyers. Indeed on behalf of the affected lawyers by the accreditation deadline, I humbly tender an unreserved appreciation to the Commission and indeed, this appreciation is more than a million thanks.
  1. I pray to God Almighty to continue to guide and guard the Commission towards the fulfillment of all its statutory mandates.

Yours faithfully,

Hameed Ajibola Jimoh Esq.

Sole Practitioner/Principal Counsel.

Recall that in an initial letter dated 14th June, 2021, Mr. Jimoh, Esq. asked for the extension of time within which accredited agents — especially lawyers — are able to revalidate their verified status as required by the Commission, citing the period of inactivity caused by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria strike action.

Subsequently, the Commission contacted counsel assuring him that it will leave the revalidation exercise window open indefinitely until further notice.
