
In a case marked FHC/B/CS/18/2025: Henry Omoregie Esq. v. The Nigeria Police Force, the Federal High Court No. 1,Sitting in Benin City, Presided Over by Hon Justice B.O. Quadri has ordered that the originating processes and the Motion for Perpetual Injunction filed by the Applicant in the matter be served on the Nigeria Police ForceForce Headquarters, the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police,General Investigations-CP Eyinnaya Adiogu, FSI and others in a matter that pertains to the Fundamental Human Rights of H.O. Omoregie, the immediate past President of Benin Club, in which the General Investigation Department of the Force CID is being used based on the behest of one Mr. Ikhide Okaisabor an expelled member of Benin Club to harass and intimidate Henry Omoregie Esq immediate past president of Benin Club who is a Notary Public and a senior lawyer over issues that concern membership of Benin Club, a purely civil matter.
The Judge granted the Order after heating Henry Omoregie Esq., for himself, leading Douglas Ogbankwa, Esq. and two others. The matter was adjourned until 5th of March, 2025 for Hearing .

the Applicant’s fundamental rights and therefore unconstitutional,unlawful and an infringement on the Applicant’s right as enshrined in the Constitution of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
b.A Declaration that the constant invitation by the 1st – 5th Respondents on same
issue,parties and subject matter that had already been investigated and refused
civil by same 1st to 5th Respondents,amounts to an abuse of Police Powers.
c.A declaration that the subject matter for which the 1st – 6th Respondents are
purportedly investigating at the instance of the 6th Respondent is purely a civil
matter as it relates to an internal administrative affairs of an Association(Benin
Club 1931),now pending at Edo State High Court Vide Suit No.B/258/2024
d.And Order of Perpetual injunction Restraining the 1st – 5th Respondents,their
agents,servants etc,.from sending further invitations,or threatening to arrest
and detain the Applicant in connection with the subject matter of the application.
e.An awàrd of the Sum of N100,000,000.00 (One Hundred Million Naira),as
exemplary damages against 15t-6′”Respondents as cost of this action.
