Dhikrullah Adewale Balogun (DAB) congratulates the entire leadership and members of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT) on the commencement of their 2022 Annual Conference in Kano State.
“I heartily congratulate the entire leadership and members of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT) on the commencement of their 53rd National Annual Conference holding at the Bayero University, Kano from 8th to 10th February, 2022.
“The theme for this years Annual Conference is “Law, Democracy and Electoral Process.”
This theme is very relevant and apt in that, it captures the current wave in the country. The role of law teachers in transfusion of the values of law, democracy and electoral process cannot be over emphasized. Law teachers are at the heart of lawyers’ formation in the country and thus, have huge roles to play in the development of the ideals of law, democracy and electoral process.
For example, where our electoral process does not follow the ideals and provisions of law and democracy, it will definitely chunk out leaders without legitimacy which is capable of distorting our electoral process and the delivery of the expected dividend of Democracy. It will also lead to political instability and destabilize our economic life as a people.
I have no doubt that, the association must have assembled scholars to do justice to the various lectures to be delivered at this very critical conference and we hope to see a very positive and far reaching communique at the end of the Conference.
I wish you all very fruitful and impactful deliberations for the three days and I pray for journey mercies to all participants while also praying for a better and prosperous Nigeria and the legal profession.
Congratulations and have a lovely experience in Kano.”
