Immediate past Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch, Dr Jude Ezegwui (MCIArb, J.P.,N.P) on Wednesday, 17th January, 2024, attended the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum Summit being held in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, urging young lawyers to strive for professionalism.
“I am delighted to be present at the opening of the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum Summit(NBA-YLF) which marks a milestone in the development of the legal profession.
This Summit themed “Breaking the Old Order of Governance and Advocacy” provides a unique opportunity for an open exchange of views and experience, positive but also negative, on issues of common interest and initiatives developed to address them.
“Lawyers play indeed a key role as intermediaries between the justice system and the public at large. Their contribution is essential to make justice work for people in everyday life and ensure that their fundamental rights are respected.
I commend the NBA-YLF for providing members tools to navigate the early years of their career and develop their professional lives. The Forum continues to stimulate and encourage the interest and participation of young lawyers in the purposes of the Nigerian Bar.
“I wish you all a memorable and fulfilling Summit. Warm regards.”
