Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Benin Branch, Ede Asenoguan, Esq. felicitates with NBA Enugu Branch on the auspicious occasion of Its 2021 Law Week.
Mr. Asenoguan said “I warmly congratulate the leadership and distinguished members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu on the occasion of their Law Week.
“The event which is themed “Strengthening the Judicial Process for Justice Delivery in a Period of National Crisis” will hold from 28th November to 3rd December, 2021.
“The objective of the justice delivery system is to ensure the rule of law and legal security for individuals. The rule of law means that the administration of justice and other exercise of public authority must be predictable and consistent, and must be conducted to a high standard especially at a time the nation is facing challenges.
“The justice system, as well as legislation, needs to be adapted to the changing social conditions. For the Government, it is crucial that more crimes are prevented and more crimes are solved. This applies to both everyday crime and crime that poses a threat to our democratic society, such as organised crime, terrorism and banditry,” he stated.
Asenoguan asserted that “Being able to live a safe life must not depend on which area or which part of the country you live in, or who you are. The Government must undertake broad and long-term measures to build a stronger society, in which the justice system and other actors together take responsibility for creating safer and more secure societies.”
“Once again I congratulate the entire members of NBA Enugu Branch on this epoch-making Law Week. I wish all a successful programme.”
