The Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria, MULAN, Sokoto State branch has brighten the Sallah celebrations for inmates by presenting a ram, drinks and household items to the Sokoto Remand Home.
According to the Secretary of the State MULAN, Muhammad Mansur Aliyu, the Chairman, Mr Muhammad Sambo presented the gifts to the officer in charge of the correctional facility who expressed profound gratitude for the gesture of the group — which he said had put smiles on the faces of the children.
As part of the programme, discussions and counseling sessions were held with the juveniles to provide emotional and moral support in the spirit of sacrifice associated with the Sallah celebrations.
