Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria Set to Hold NBA Presidential Debate June 17

Posted on May 30, 2022May 31, 2022 By Halima Abiola No Comments on Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria Set to Hold NBA Presidential Debate June 17

The Employment and Labour Lawyers Association of Nigeria (ELLAN) is set to hold the 2nd Edition of the Nigerian Bar (NBA) Presidential Debate on June 17, 2022.

Venue: MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm

Don’t miss it. Register to attend. It’s free.

Benefits of the NBA Presidential Debate

The Nigerian Bar Association as a leading gatekeeper of the sanctuary of the rule of law, must be seen to exhibit well-functioning internal democratic structures and strong political governance. However, a lack of information about our elections can weaken the accountability of elected bar leaders and, consequently, decision-making.

Giving voters access to information through debates between rival candidates can significantly improve their knowledge and increase democratic participation.
