The President of the Nigerian Bar Association(NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, on Thursday, 12th day of September 2024, composed some ad-hoc and standing committees of the Nigerian Bar Association, in line with the constitutional powers as President of the Nigerian Bar Association. One of such formidable standing Forum is the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF).
As a corollary to the above, a former NBA 2nd Vice President, Prof. (Mrs.) Foluke Dada-Lawanson has commended the composition of the NBAWF led by Huwaila Mohammed as the Chairperson. She described the newly composed leaders as women of goodwill who will all strive to follow to the letter the aims and objectives of the NBAWF. The learned professor also encouraged the new leadership of the NBAWF to do more to encourage the growth of women in the legal profession, while wishing them good health and strength to carry out the duties to the Bar.
