Past Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Benin Branch has sent his felicitations to the leadership and entire members of the NBA Ile-Ife Branch on the occasion of their 2022 Law Week.
Read below Mr Ede Asenoguan’s goodwill message to the Ile-Ife branch of the NBA on the occasion of their 2022 Annual Law Week themed: ‘Exploring the Law as a Catalyst Towards a Truly Federal State’ holding between 30th May and 1st June, 2022.
“Permit me, the Chairman, Executives and members of the Ile-Ife branch to use this medium in conveying my regards to your noble branch as you celebrate your 2022 Annual Law Week themed ‘Exploring the Law as a Catalyst Towards a Truly Federal State’.
The chosen theme chronicles one of the responsibilities of the NBA to wit promotion and support of law reform for the betterment of the country. We are well aware that the majority of the woes we face in Nigeria can effortlessly be traced to the pseudo-federalism we practice and the only recognizable means of redirecting this anomaly is through the law, be it amendment, proper enforcement or total overhaul.
Consequently, I must not fail to commend patriotic stand in this regard.
It is my prayer that your branch prospers in all its endeavour.
