Imo State Judiciary Excludes JUSUN Strike Period from the Computation of Time of Default Fees

The Imo State Judiciary has announced that period of the strike embarked upon by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, is excluded from the computation of Default fees as application.

This is contained in a circular seen by our correspondent on Sunday.

“Take notice therefore that the Hon. The Ag. Chief Judge, Hon. Justice I.O. Agugua has directed that the period – 6th April, 2021 – 14th June, 2021 – shall be excluded in the computation of default fees wherever applicable.” The circular read.

The official communication was signed by the Chief Registrar, C.N. Okereke, Esq.

The Federal High Court, The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, and the High Courts of Delta, Ogun, Lagos, Ondo States had earlier announced this measure exempting processes in default due to the JUSUN strike from the prescribed fees.
