Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN Receives Leaders of NBA-YLF Abuja Branch

Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN [centre] said young lawyers must effectively take advantage of opportunities they come across to advance their career

The leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum, NBA-YLF, Abuja Branch on Wednesday, 7 July 2021, paid a courtesy call on Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama, SAN at his Abuja office, J-K Gadzama Court. Led by its Chairman, Mr. David B. Stephen, the NBA-YLF Abuja executive officers commended the learned silk for his ardent and visible contribution to the development of young lawyers within the branch and the legal profession in Nigeria, notably through the Annual Hon. Justice Chukwudifu Oputa (Rtd) Mentorship and Training Programme for young lawyers organized by the learned silk for years now.

The young lawyers prayed for God’s continuous blessing and provisions to enable the learned silk to even do more than he is doing now. They referred to Chief Gadzama as a Bar leader and father per excellence in the legal profession.

On his part, the learned silk appreciated the team for honouring him with their visit and the encomiums rendered. He encouraged the team to remain dogged and hardworking as young minds and endeavour to specialize in areas of law as the future of legal practice belongs to minds that are good at specifics and not everything. Chief Gadzama also reminded the team that as leaders, they must clothe themselves with humility, dedication, accountability and ensure that they uphold the enviable standards of ethics and prestige of the legal profession. With these, the sky will only be their starting point. He assured them of his continuous support, noting that, the young ones are the future of the profession.

The team lead, Mr. Stephen, the Chairman of the YLF, NBA Abuja Branch appreciated the learned silk for his warm reception and fatherly words of wisdom. The YLF team also had in attendance Ms. Rahila Dauda, the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Clement C, Igata, the Secretary, Ms. Oladoyin Bamiji, the Treasurer, Ms. Juliet Ikhayere, the Financial Secretary, Mr. Oluwatosin F. Emmanuel, the Public Relations Officer, and Ms. Vanessa Muda, the Provost Marshall.
