The Executive Committee of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, Borno State Chapter has announced it will join the Union’s nationwide strike as against its earlier emergency resolution to the contrary.
On Monday, the chapter had declared that it will not shut down courts in the state in view of the fact that it has been assured that the government is ready to accede to the Union’s demands.
The latest statement confirming it has embarked on strike action is copied below:
NOTICE OF STRIKE ACTION Reference to the earlier communiqué issued yesterday on the above subject matter, we hereby withdraw the earlier RESOLUTION and embark on Strike Action forthwith.
Therefore, the BORNO STATE JUDICIARY is embarking on the Nationwide Strike Action with effect from today being the 6th day of April, 2021 to press home our demands on financial autonomy.
