
The Lagos State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Kazeem Ọ. Alogba has on Tuesday the 17th November, 2020, sworn in and admitted 47 notable legal practitioners into the Office of Notary Public.
Among those admitted and sworn in are a Senior Advocate, Messrs Lukman Akangbe Opawoye FCTI, Hassan Fajimite, Justice Oguaba, Monday Udoh, Ayo Awobiyide, and others.
At the brief ceremony that took place at the premises of the Standing Tribunal on Chieftaincy matters at the old Secretariat Ikeja, Lagos State, the CJ advised the new set of Notaries Public to be vigilant, careful and cautious about how they conduct the business of their new offices. His Lordship urgd them to bear to take cognisance of their New office is an integral part in the administration of Justice in Nigeria as a whole.
A unique thing at the event was that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr.Emmanuel A. Oyebanji was among those sworn in. And in his vote of thanks the Learned Silk thanks the CJ for the admonition and promised, on behalf of the new set of Notaries Public, that they would not abuse their new offices. The ceremony had in attendance the Hon. Justice Dabiri and the Lagos State High Court Chief Registrar Mrs.Okunuga as well as other prominent officers of the Lagos Judiciary.
