Lawyers’ Killings: NBA Ikere Ekiti Branch declares Tuesday Day of Prayers

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ikere Ekiti branch has declared tomorrow Tuesday 4th December, a day of prayers.

Speaking today after the peaceful protest, organised by local branches, in Ekiti over the kidnap and gruesome murder of Mr Adeola Adebayo and the death of Mr Adeshina Okeya who was maimed by vigilante in Abuja, the Chair of the Branch, Oludayo Olorunfemi said ; “we need to call on the Supreme Being to intervene in the affairs of man at times of great uncertainty and insecurity such as this.”

While calling for prayers, the Chair implored all persons to be vigilant and take the issue of their security seriously.

“We all have a role to play in securing the lives and property of citizens.” Olorunfemi said.

The prayers will be held at the Wole Olanipekun Bar Centre along College road, Ikere Ekiti,
