Former Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lokoja Branch, Michael Olorunmola congratulates the NBA Asaba Branch on the occasion of its 2023 annual Law Week.
Below is Mr Olorunmola’s goodwill message to the Asaba Bar:
I felicitate the Branch Chairman, Executive Committee, Planning Committee, Bar Leaders and entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Asaba Branch on their 2023 Law Week holding from 16th to 19th November.
I find the theme of the Law Week, “Technology and the Future of Legal Practice in Delta State” most apposite in an era when technology has completely disrupted the legal profession. Thus, lawyers must Build the Future with Tech’.
It is pertinent to state that lawyers who are able to tap into the emerging new niches and deepen their digital expertise are bound to be much-sought-after in the new era.
I urge all members of the NBA Asaba Branch to utilize the opportunities thrown up by the Law Week to enrich their knowledge in new areas of law and adequately prepare themselves for the call to action into the brave new world of law practice.
I wholeheartedly commend the NBA Asaba Branch for its tireless efforts to assist its members to easily stay up to date by continuously educating them, and by maintaining the highest standards of excellence among lawyers in its jurisdiction and Nigeria as a whole.
