- Justification for arrest and investigation
- Care and custody of Suspect.
- Right of a Suspect to Bail.
- ACJA in relation to arrest, investigation, detention etc.
The essence of the seminar was to sensitize the corps at NSCDC on the need to guard them based on enforcement of fundamental human rights violation simplicita.
The authority granted to law enforcement officials derives from the duty of the State to maintain public order, and to ensure human rights and the rule of law.
However, there is a need to remind law enforcement and the public of the rules regulating the policing. The NBA Human Rights Committee has consistently advocated for government to adhere to international standards in order to prevent the misuse of force, deprivation and other human rights violations.
