NBA Enugu Branch Chairman Urges Members, all Lawyers to Collect PVCs to ‘Enhance Our Guaranteed Right to Freely Discharge Our Civic Responsibilities’

The Chairman of Nigeria Bar Association Enugu Branch, Chief C.N.N. Nwagbara has passionately appealed to members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Enugu Branch, all lawyers in Enugu State, as well as eligible citizens who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to strive and ensure they do so before the INEC deadline on the 22nd day of January, 2023, to enable them effectively exercise their civic duty to vote.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Branch Publicity Secretary, J.O. Onyeabor, Esq.

In the statement, Chief Nwagbara urged members and all eligible persons to make their voices heard by having their PVCs ready in preparation for voting in the upcoming general election in February, 2023.

“Our PVC will enhance our guaranteed right to freely discharge our civic responsibilities come the 2023 elections, it will also enable us to continue to lead the way and show us as critical stakeholders in the enthronement and sustenance of democracy in the Nigerian Project,” he said.

Once again the Chairman used the medium to wish NBA Enugu Branch members and all lawyers a fruitful 2023 as they come back to work and more importantly to continue in the core responsibility of ‘promoting the rule of law.’

The Presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled to hold on Saturday 25th February, 2023, while the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will hold two weeks later on Saturday 11th March 2023.
