The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada Branch has announced the sudden death of one of his foremost leaders, Alhaji Ibrahim Gbedako Haruna, popularly called (I G Haruna).
In a notice published on 2nd September, 2024, the Eagle Bar Publicity Secretary, High Chief Dauda Ajadosu, said Alhaji Haruna died on Monday night.
“The Executive Committee regrets to announce the sudden passage of our beloved Leader, Alhaji I G Haruna (a foremost leader in the branch), who passed on yesterday, the 2nd of September, 2024.
According to the notice, the deceased will be buried according call to Islamic rites at the Muslim Cemetery located behind Radio House, Gwagwalada by 11am today, 3rd September, 2024 after janazah prayer which will be held at University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (Specialist) Mosque. Prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased will also be offered at his residence located at Phase 3, beside Imam Malik Academy, Gwagwalada FCT immediately after the burial.
Until his death, Alhaji Haruna was the Naibi of Gulu and Santuraki of Evuti in Niger State. The Principal, IG Haruna and Co (Haruna’s Chambers). He left behind an aged mother, wives, children and grandchildren. He died at the age of 55 years.
