The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ijebu Ode branch on 30th Day of October, 2020 paid courtesy visit to the Ogbere Area Command headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force to discuss issues bordering on effective policing and ways to foster good and amiable relationship between the police and the entire public.
The Chairman of the NBA, Ijebu Ode branch Mr. Bisi Abdul-Azeez who led the delegation of the bar expressed his dissatisfaction towards the way and matter in which some hoodlums hiding under the pretence of “ENDSARS” protests attacked police officers, and even set police stations ablazed.
Police officers are people’s friends and we should relate with them as such. He said.
The chairman expressed condolences on behalf of the bar to the entire Nigerian Police Force for loss of lives of some of their officers during the protests.
He assured the police of all necessary supports from the bar to enhance and foster effective policing.
The bar as the mouthpiece of the public is ready to work together with the police towards achieving a crime free society where law and order prevails. He stated.
