The Chairman of the Katsina Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, A.A. Ahmed yesterday congratulated NBA’s newly-elected President Olumide Akpata on his victory at the polls.
“On behalf of NBA Katsina Branch members, I congratulate Mr. Olumide Akpata as he emerges winner in the successful and peaceful conclusion of the Nigerian Bar Association presidential election.
“This victory clearly acknowledges your outstanding service to the bar, as well as lawyers’ trust in you,” The Chairman said in a statement.
“We trust that you will continue to work for development goals in the NBA. Please be aware that you have our full support. We wish you all the best as you lead the way.”
Mr. Ahmed also noted that lawyers from all segments of society cast their ballots peacefully, and the voice of the majority was respected.
