NBA Lekki Forum to Hold 2nd Monthly Knowledge Sharing Seminar September 3, 2019


The Lekki Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association shall on the 3rd September, 2019 host its Second Knowledge Sharing Seminar at the Nigerian Prisons Service by 10am.

The Special Knowledge Sharing Seminar is in a synergized form with the Mind-Set Education Training of the International Youth Fellowship, a South Korea-based correctional behaviour NGO.

This was made known in a press statement issued by Oladotun Hassan Esq., Chairman and Ayodele Ademiluyi, Secretary of the Lekki Forum respectively. The statement affirmed that the Synergized Seminar is in collaboration with the International Youth Fellowship-Nigeria and the Nigerian Prisons Service(now the Nigerian Correctional Services).

The Guest Speaker is Her Jin Park from the International Youth Fellowship, South Korea. The Co-Guest Speaker is Mr. Lawal Pedro SAN, former Solicitor General of Lagos State who will speak to the theme, “Nigerian Correctional Services Act: Any Vista for Prisons Reforms in Nigeria?”

The Seminar will be chaired by Mrs. Funke Adekoya SAN. The Special Guest of Honour is Honourable Justice Kazeem Alogba, the Chief Judge of Lagos State. The Guests of Honour are Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN, Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State as well as the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command.

The Chief Host is Mr. Paul Usoro SAN, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association. The host is Oladotun Hassan Esq., Chairman, Lekki Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association. The Co-Hosts are Assistant Comptroller General, “A” Command, Nigerian Prisons Service(now Nigerian Correctional Services ) and Reverend Kim Jim of the International Youth Fellowship, Nigeria.

The Seminar and Training provides a forum for lawyers, correctional officers and inmates the opportunities to brainstorm on the impact of the passage of the Nigerian Correctional Services Act on custodial facilities in Nigeria and implementation thereof.

Members of the Lekki Forum, interested legal practitioners and members of the public are expected to turn out enmasse for the programme.
