The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Paul Usoro, SAN, has condemned, in strong terms, the abduction of Chike Onyemenam, SAN, during the weekend.
The statement signed by the NBA National Publicity Secretary, Kunle Edun, assured the Onyemenam family of the Bar’s support while calling on Nigeria’s security outfits to ensure the learned silk’s safe and early release.
”The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro,SAN has strongly condemned the abduction of yet another member of the Bar, this time, the amiable and distinguished Chike Onyemenam, SAN on September 14, 2019.
The Nigerian Bar Association has reached out to the family and colleagues of the learned Senior Advocate and has assured them of the full support of the leadership of the Bar in this trying period.
”The NBA President urges the Delta State Government and the Inspector General of Police to ensure the safe and early release and return of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN reiterates the call for Governments at all levels to rejig their security apparatuses and ensure that the security of lives and properties of every one living in Nigeria is guaranteed.” The statement said.
