SI/LM/03/2020.

6th October, 2020.

The Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Office of the Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Justice, Federal Capital Territory- Abuja.

Your Excellency,

A HEARTY CHEERS AND CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE WITH NIGERIA ONHER 60TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY FROM ALL OF US AT SUSOR INITIATIVE AS WELL AS AN APPEAL FOR A UNIFIED PUBLICATION OF ALL LAWS OF THE FEDERATION OF NIGERIA

  1. We are human and socio-economic rights, Non-Profits, Non-Political and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in the above headed name under the Part C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2004, as Incorporated Trustees and bearing the appellation ‘SUSOR Initiative’.
  1. We are by this letter felicitating and rejoicing with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Your Excellency and all Nigerians on her 60th Independence Anniversary. The Federal Republic of Nigeria is a nation and a country founded on the principles of democracy, rule of law, respect for human rights of citizens and constitutionalism. It is our heartfelt prayers for a more progressive development for Nigeria in her years to come.
  1. Nevertheless, it is our observation that various laws of Nigeria having force as Federal legislations have over her 60th years past, remained in a scattered or non-unified version resulting in a difficulty for law researchers and the practitioners of the law to easily access them. We are of the respectful recommendation that Your Excellency should utilize Your Excellency’s powers as the Minister of Justice to bring about a development in that respect by ensuring a unified publication of all Laws of the Federation of Nigeria as well as Gazetted Federal laws and policies in such a way that would guarantee easy access in both hardcopies and via the Ministry’s online website. We believe that this achievement would further add tremendously to the already earned successes of Nigeria as we all celebrate her 60th Independence Anniversary.
  1. Once more, accept the utmost and hearty congratulations from all of us at SUSOR Initiative. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Yours faithfully,

Hameed Ajibola Jimoh, Esq. Director General/Chief Executive Officer.
