The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Benin branch has announced that no lawyer will be allowed into the Court Rooms of the Appeal, High Court, Magistrate & Customary Courts today, Tuesday 29/1/2019 & Wednesday 30/1/2019.
The media release states that: “This is to comply with the instructions of the NBA NEC ,which we must all obey, irrespective of our idiosyncrasies.
” Lawyers can only take dates after the effluxion of the NBA National Court Boycott.
” The entire members of the Benin Bar, should please take Notice of these instructions,as disobedience of same attracts grave sanctions.
“Please be accordingly guided.”
The announcement was signed by Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., Publicity Secretary, NBA Benin Branch who doubles as the Chairman,
NEC Order Committee on Compliance of Boycott of Courts in Benin and Environs .
