4th to 10th April, 2022 promises to be a resourceful time for members of and visitors to the Calabar Branch of the NBA, as the branch conducts its 2022 Annual Bar Week. The week-long event is tagged “We the People: Agenda for National Consensus” and is billed to hold at the Transcorp Hotels, Calabar.
Mr Ede Asenoguan, a participant at the event has sent in a goodwill message stating as follows:
“The Chairman, Executive and branch members of the Calabar Branch,
I am delighted to be part of your Annual Bar Week for the year 2022 tagged “We the People: Agenda for National Consensus”. The lined up activities for the week points us to the direction of a very successful Bar Week of which I have no doubt.
I am particularly looking forward to the sessions wherein the theme will be extensively discussed. This is because same reechoes my long held opinion that Nigerians are not a divided people, they are simply misled by greedy politicians; implanting in them religious and ethnic sentiments that are ordinarily not there. Hence, if we the people can look beyond the smokescreen, we can effectively redirect the national narrative to reflect us as opposed to a select few feasting on the common wealth of the nation. I know that these sessions will be an eye opener and a pathway to self actualization.
I wish you all a successful Bar Week even as I partake in same.
Thank you and God bless.
Signed:
Ede Asenoguan, Esq
Past Chairman NBA Benin Branch.
