The National Assembly Newspaper presented the Secretary of the Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners, Dr. Tonye Clinton an Outstanding Legislative Drafting Lawyer of the Year for his longstanding contributions to the niche of legal drafting and the legal profession as a whole.
According to Institute, “the Nigeria Assembly Annual Orientation and Awards is out to educate the public and reward roles of individuals/Organizations/Associations in the legislature/Non legislature which has become part of our democratic influence that has been providing grassroots’ developments, through the Parliamentary Institution.”
The award, in its 6th edition, was held on the 7th of July, 2022, at the Merit house Maitama, Abuja.
“You have been nominated after careful consideration by the Nomination Committee in line with your Corporate Social Responsibility, good Service to humanity and grass root penetration,” the organisers wrote in a letter to Dr. Jaja.
“The NASS Awards is designed to lead a new phenomenon in the assessment and recognition of the parliament and its allies who are providing complementary achievements to the legislative arm of government in Nigeria.” It added.
