Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wole Olanipekun has donated bags of rice to the three branches of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, in Ekiti State—Ikere, Ado-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti,
The relief is aimed at alleviating the disruption caused by the global covid-19 shutdown.
According to an official statement on Thursday, the donation was received on behalf of the three branches by the Chair, NBA Ikere Branch, Oludayo Olorunfemi.
While receiving the relief, Olorunfemi expressed gratitude on behalf of the Bar saying that Chief Olanipekun has shown continuing support for the Bar in Ekiti.
This act of kindness is profoundly appreciated especially at a time like this when the Covid 19 crisis has had adverse effect on the livelihood of lawyers. Olorunfemi further disclosed that NBA Ikere commenced distribution of welfare packages to all its members last Saturday.
This charitable gesture from the learned silk will ensure that the food bank set up by the Branch constantly has enough for members of the Bar.
