Candidate for Chairman, NBA Lagos branch, Yemi Akangbe meets young lawyers at Ajumogobia & Okeke law firm, 27 May, 2019
In a bid to promote fellowship and professional growth for young lawyers, while stimulating interest in the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, and advancing its objectives — candidate for Chairman of NBA Lagos branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe has announced that he will procure tickets for 35 members of this vibrant group to attend and participate in the branch’s upcoming Law Week.
Mr. Akangbe’s letter to young lawyers of the branch dated 29th May, 2019 reads:
Dear Young Lawyer,
NBA Lagos Law Week
I trust you are doing well. As the Annual Law Week of our Premier Branch approaches, I am delighted to inform you that I have secured tickets for thirty-five (35) young lawyers to attend and participate in all the events of the Law Week gratis.
To be selected as one of these thirty-five (35) young lawyers, I would like you to write a one (2) page Essay titled: “My Expectations For the Premier Branch In the Next Two Years: Some Advice for the Incoming Chairman”.
Kindly send your Essay, which should be in font size 12 with 2.25 line spacing, to: omoyemiakangbe01@gmailcom on or before Monday 3rd June, 2019, which is the deadline for submission. Your name, phone number and e-mail address must be clearly stated after the concluding paragraph of the Essay. A Panel of three (3) senior lawyers will undertake the task of selecting the best thirty-five Essays, vis-a-vis content, language and style, and the names of the successful Writers will be announced on Friday 7thJune, 2019. I look forward to a robust, insightful and enlightening competition.
