Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners-ALDRAP is delighted to introduce the professional continuing education programmes for lawyers and other professionals in the field of legislative drafting and advocacy.

The Nigerian Bar Association’s Institute of Continuing Legal Education provides accreditation for all the programmes since September 2017. The ALC, University of Abuja is also a partner.

We write to request application for following underlisted short courses and workshops:

1. Fellowship of the ASSOCIATION-ALDRAP Senior Legislative Counsel course;
2. Intensive Certification Course in Legislative Drafting (two weeks);
3. Course in Drafting Budget, Tax and Financial Legislation;
4. Clerks of Legislatures Certification Course;
5. Amendment of Constitution, Legislation and Standing Orders Course;
6. Engrossment and Gazetting Procedure course;
7. Agency Establishment procedure and Drafting course;
8. Application of Information Communication Technology in Legislative Drafting course;
9. Drafting of ECOWAS and other Treaty Legislation course;
10. Drafting of Criminal and Penal Legislation course; and
11. Drafting Instructions course.

Application Details

Each applicant completes the course at his or her own pace but two weeks is the usual duration.

If you are based in Abuja, you can come to our National Secretariat for lectures, online zoom lectures for those outside Abuja.

The fellowship course is N250,000, plus registration fee of N50, 000.

Other courses are N150,000 plus registration fee of N50, 000.
