The Many Laurels of New Bayero University Law Graduate, Mohammed Ibrahim Abdullahi

Mohammed Ibrahim Abdullahi graduated
with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in the Class of 2022/23 academic session from the Bayero University, Kano.

Adding to preceding awards, Abdullah was recently honoured with a Merit Award by the LL. B 2024 – Pacesetters as the Male Legal Writer of the Set.

“This is in recognition and appreciation of your consistent engagement in legal writings and publications on various legal topics.” The award initiators said.

Abdullahi was recognised for his articles written on diverse intellectual issues submitted for publication in many medium proving his outstanding efforts for personal and academic growth.

He consistently exhibits leadership traits as reflected by his intellectual capacity, level and impact of participation in student and professional organisations.

During his course of study at Bayero University, Kano, he passionately engaged in writing articles on legal issues both national and international. He obtained a certificate of participation from Legal Skills and Mentorship Academy in 2020, where he was trained on legal writing and other legal skills. He has not less than 30 articles published on legal blogs. He also participated in national politics of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria where he served in various capacities and received numerous students national awards and was selected to represent north west among the six members of the LAWSAN Board of Trustees.

In the year 2021, he received an award of merit as the “LAWSAN Human Rights Activist of The Year” at the 4th LAWSAN National Convention held in Keffi, Nasarawa State and received another award of honour from the LAWSAN National in the same year.

He was appointed to serve as a Judge in the 3rd LAWSAN National Judicial Council where his performance earned him the “Judicial Personnel of the Year, 2022” award and a medal of honour as the Commander of the Order of LAWSAN by the 5th National President, Sen. Michael Arinze presented to him at the 5th National Convention of Law Students’ Association of Nigeria, Portharcut, Rivers State.

Mr Abdullahi expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude for the awards and recognitions. He thanked the various organisers for their continued support along the way, stating that the laurels remind him that hard work and consistency always pays. “Furthermore, whenever I look at this awards it will motivate me to achieve more success in life.” He added.
