Who is Reginald Iheanyichukwu Ugwuadu, Esq. MCIArb.(UK)

Urbane, cosmopolitan and quintessential gentleman aptly captures who Reginald is.

Born and bred in the Surulere area of Lagos, Reginald attended Methodist Primary School and Government College Lagos, both in Surulere. He proceeded to the University of Calabar and since being called to the Bar, he has lived most, if not all his adult life in Port Harcourt, where he has established himself not only as a serious minded legal practitioner, but a strong bar man, whose driving force is the enthronement of purposeful leadership anchored on integrity.

Reginald who hails from Ngor/Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, speaks Yoruba, Igbo and English fluently. He is a good team player with interpersonal skills and ability to co-ordinate people, and this has been demonstrated and confirmed, in the last two elections in Port Harcourt Branch, where he served as DG campaign for the candidates of the Integrity Group Port Harcourt.

Between 2009 and 2013, he was a member of Ikeja Branch (Tiger Bar) and served as Secretary, Ikeja Branch for AGC 2011 and Secretary, Electoral Committee Ikeja Branch in 2012. Reginald returned to Port Harcourt Branch and resumed active service to the Bar.

As an experienced litigator, he has appeared in all the strata of the Nigerian court system. He is a quick witted but unassuming hard-nosed litigator with a number of successful litigation cases. He is a family man and an advocate of high ethical standards in the legal profession. He was sworn in as a Notary Public in March 2017.

Reginald was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991, having graduated from the University of Calabar in 1990. He has over the years acquired expertise in commercial litigation, labour issues, capital market and arbitration. He was admitted as a Partner at the firm of Delaw Chambers in January 2009 where he heads the Litigation team, after working with the commercial law firm of Solola & Akpana, as a Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial and Litigation Group. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration, Nigeria Branch

As a vocation, Reginald lectured part time Business and Company Law at ICAN Tutorial Centre (Port Harcourt) and for relaxation, he enjoys listening to country music. He is an avid chess and scrabble player. a dedicated counselor, and arbitrator. He is married and blessed with 3 lovely boyz.

Reginald was the NEC Representative of Port Harcourt Branch, when that position was scrapped via the constitutional amendment and thus earned him the title of, ‘Last NEC Rep. PH Branch’.
